OUR KIDS ARE NOT OKAY

“Our Kids Are Not Okay: A Crucial Conversation on the Mental Health Needs of BIPOC Students in Independent Schools” featured a panel discussion with current students of color at Axis Partner Schools and Max Gray Fellows from the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior.

Special thanks to:

  • Laurie Gordon, J.D., Founder of the Max Gray Fund for Treatment of Mood Disorders

  • Artha Gillis, M.D., Ph.D., Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine

  • Gregory Barnett, M.D., Max Gray Fellow at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior

  • Dr. Manal Khan, M.D., Max Gray Fellow at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior

  • Turning Point School for hosting this event

it is critical that we move beyond discussion toward action that will create meaningful change for bipoc students.

That is why we are calling on all of our Partner Schools to take the BIPOC Student Mental Health Pledge.
